OhioHealth Corporation, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit, charitable, healthcare organization based in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant General Counsel with a minimum of 5 years of corporate and business law experience, to join its Office of the General Counsel. This position will
report to the System Vice President and Associate General Counsel. The
Assistant General Counsel will provide legal advice on corporate matters for the organization and its affiliates. Specifically, this position will be responsible for a wide variety of business, corporate and transactional legal services which may include joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, independent contractor agreements, purchase contracts, managed care contracts, real estate and other business and corporate matters as well as the administration of system-wide contracts, contract management and policy development. The Assistant General Counsel will be responsible for administrative functions necessary to the operation of the Office of the General Counsel, as assigned by the General Counsel or System Vice President and Associate General Counsel. This position requires an individual with an undergraduate and Juris Doctor degree from a recognized national school of law with a superior academic record and a license to practice in the State of Ohio (or receives license within 12 months of employment and has some familiarity with Ohio law). The qualified candidate will have significant corporate, transactional and regulatory law experience either in a law firm, governmental agency or in-house legal department (or combination thereof).
