AV-rated law firm with presence throughout Ohio and Michigan is recruiting for a highly motivated attorney to join the firm’s Business & Employment practice group in Cleveland. The firm seeks an attorney licensed to practice in the State of Ohio with five years of experience or more in handling labor and employment practices matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Experience in representing clients involved in discrimination, harassment, disability, retaliation, and wage claims is required. Experience counseling businesses and individuals in human resources, risk management, and compliance issues pertaining to federal and state workplace laws is strongly preferred. Experience with labor relations and collective bargaining matters a plus. Responsibility for handling Directors & Officers liability matters, including general commercial litigation, contract and business relationship claims, and fiduciary duty claims is also strongly preferred.
Candidates are required to have significant first-hand responsibility for investigating matters, handling discovery, taking and defending depositions, managing expert witnesses, and all aspects of motion practice. Candidates must possess the requisite experience, excellent academic credentials, excel at research, writing, and oral advocacy, and be prepared to step in and independently manage assigned legal matters. Portable business is welcome but not required. The firm offers a comprehensive salary and benefits package.
